Unraveled Wednesday

I am happy to say that there has not been any unraveling around here this week! I finished my Wishmaker shawl and have moved on the the Familiar shawl (both part of Helen Stewart’s Shawl Society II). It is wonderful to be knitting with some of my lovely stash yarn too.

I finished listening to Little Fires Everywhere (very much enjoyed this one) and started reading Falling Upward. I am giving a lot of thought to “what next”as I am nearing that time when retirement is within reach.

The topic of knitting notebooks has come up recently. I am using a Moleskine notebook to record my projects and some thoughts on my knitting life. Are you keeping or contemplating a knitting notebooks? Or maybe a craft journal because quilting stories are also a part of my fiber life.

Happy Wednesday. Visit Kat to read more Unraveled stories.

  1. beautiful wool!! I have three projects going on, two that I talk about the sweater and the hat but there is a shawl/scarf that I would love to be finished soon and that isn’t happening because of the hat and the sweater 🙂

  2. Ooo! Little Fires Everywhere is up next for me! I am excited to read it! And, I love your idea of a Moleskine notebook! I have been thinking much about how to get this started.

  3. I recently read about something created by knitting designer Martina Behm, which is a planner/knitting journal that sounded intriguing. It’s called Strickplaner 2018.

  4. I’ve been thinking about knitting notes too – thinking I might devote a few pages in my “semi-permanent” traveler’s notebook to jot down the patterns I want to knit, stash I need to use … but I try to use Ravelry to record most of that. and then I end up realizing I just need to use Ravelry better!

  5. That looks like such rustic, warm yarn!
I don’t keep a knitting/craft notebook, but I keep telling myself that I’m going to start. I don’t know why it’s so hard for me. I kept a traditional journal for years!

  6. I used to keep a knitting journal . . . back before Ravelry! Now, I use Ravelry exclusively to keep track of my knitting. I’m reading The Weight of Ink and really enjoying it. XO
