What a wonderful weekend we had. Yes, we lost an hour but the sun was out, the skies were blue, and it was warm enough to begin digging in the garden. I was able to turn the soil in my raised beds and get some of the debris cleaned up. It will be awhile before any planting can happen but the planning has begun.

I continue to make progress on my Birkin. But I can’t stop browsing Ravelry and thinking about casting on something new.

There is this,

And this,

And this.

The weekend is gone. My fridge is filled with veggies and I am taking the Simple Green Smoothie challenge this week.

Enjoy your Monday.

  1. I am likewise envious of your garden time. No snow here, but the temps have dipped down to “too cold to be outside” range!

  2. Your Birkin is lovely. And yep, Ravelry shows so many good patterns.
I agree with you – smoothies are so good After I checked out a Cooking Light magazine issue I found out that mixed smoothies are just as nutritious as a breakfast, especially with chia seeds. I am lucky, since my greens garden is already under a cold frame in the winter. But spring is coming, veggies here we come.

  3. SO glad you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was cold but we kept busy helping at the barn Saturday and having dear friends for dinner. Hooray for anyone’s warmer weather and garden hopes. I saw a packet of LUPINE seeds at walgreens today and remembered I have LUPINE!! THey SHOULD come up and BLOOM in this their second year.

  4. ha! how about a reader who vicariously enjoys all your dirt digging (nope, not ONE bit jealous … well maybe of the DRY dirt and the sunshine, but I know that will be quickly remedied!) … you are so close to finishing Birkin and I, too, would be perusing Ravelry. I think Hamble is right up your alley, but that hat could be a quick win, too. (gosh, is it really only Monday!!??)

  5. As with Mere, I’m a vicarious gardener…thinking I’ll try a few containers this year…if it ever gets warm enough to stay outside longer than 3 min…Enjoy the Simple Green Challenge!
