Unraveled Wednesday

I had a very unraveled day yesterday. The kind when you just can’t seem to stay in step, enough out of sync to be annoyed but not enough for others to notice. Finally the work day was over, dinner dishes finished, and it was time for knitting and a glass of wine. Except . . . where was that skein of blue yarn? I was ready to start the next section on a three color shawl but the first color was missing. I searched high and low and then high and low again – for about 30 minutes. I was just going to give up and search Ravelry for a new project when I caught a glimpse of a project bag behind the extra printer paper on the lower shelf of my desk. Viola! The missing skein was found.

Hoping today will be a bit smoother. And then I am off to an annual quilt retreat. Summertime is almost here.

I am off to visit Kat to see if anyone else is unraveling this week.

  1. Oh, boy . . . I can relate to that! Also, I LOVE the colors in your shawl. I am a total sucker for greys and yellows together. šŸ™‚

  2. Don’t you wonder how things end up hidden in odd places? I’ve begun to suspect that John my be trying to gaslight me by hiding yarn and needles, but he does these things in NJ. I don’t think he’s begun his tricks on the west coast. šŸ™‚

  3. You have a lovely retreat friend.
I’ve been looking for a map- can’t find it so will check the thrift store to see if I donated it! LOL May have to purchase it back.

  4. Yay for finding the missing yarn – I look forward to seeing how the project plays out. I wonder if the yarn monster is in cahoots with the sock monster & the storage container lid monster?

  5. I am glad the missing yarn turned up. Some days are just out of step. I find knitting helps get me back to a better place. The shawl looks lovely.
