30 days of thankful #21

Today I am thankful for sisters. And in the spirit of three things, here are three sister pairs in my life.

I have one amazing sister and she is in town for a few days. We are eight years apart and even though I loved the idea of a baby in the house, it too me almost 18 years to really appreciate the gift of a sister.

I am thankful for the love between my mom and her twin sister. It was so fun to watch them together and to know that bond and love that mom held onto even as she sunk into Alzheimer’s.

And I am so thankful for the privilege of raising two daughters who have an amazing sister relationship.

  1. I don’t have a “blood” sister, but my best friend for over 50 years is my Sister. I’m so lucky to have that relationship. Really enjoyed this post.

  2. I don’t have a sister and always wished for one. I am lucky to have a friend who I consider a sister but it’s definitely not the same as having the shared childhood experiences that sisters have.

  3. I desperately wanted a little sister but wound up with a brother instead. And then I married a man with one brother. But I am very thankful now to have two sisters-in-law!
