30 days of thankful 2020 – #4

Some days, I have a walking or should I say running companion? These walks usually start out at a pretty brisk pace.

Then we slow down because dirt+loose rocks+ funny circles on the path. Lots of reasons to stop and play in the dirt.

We have discovered a new friend on this walk. Finn, the horse. Finn has a sign on his fence to let us know that he has a medical condition and has to eat a special diet so “please do not feed me.” This sign has been the source of many questions. Fortunately, my companion doesn’t need definitive answers. Finn doesn’t venture too far out in his paddock. Finally, we wave a goodbye to Finn and turn to head home. I am thankful for this time with this walking buddy.

  1. This brings me such sweet memories of walking with my Gram to ‘visit the horses’ when I stayed at her house. So vivid, those early memories with grandparents & grandchildren. Thank you for the sunlight this morning.

  2. A walk with a little one is such a different experience , isn’t it! Lovely to walk with you both for a bit. I wish I could have my grand-daughter close :).
