30 days of thankful 2020 – #5

Three years ago we added a son-in-law to our family. It was a very sweet wedding that completely matched these two lovely people. Thinking back, it would have been a good pandemic wedding. Very few guests, donuts, cupcakes, and coffee.

Having raised daughters, I was a bit nervous about adding men to the family but I am thankful for the men our daughters have married. They are wise women and they have chosen well.

  1. It seems to me that you can get a sense of just how well you’ve raised your daughters by looking at the men they chose. Happy anniversary to your daughter and son-in-law!

  2. A simple wedding sounds good to me, too. My daughter’s wasn’t simple, but not over the top. It fit her and her husband, as well. It was at a mansion at the zoo. There was a penguin at the reception. Good times.

  3. There is great virtue in simplicity :). I had to smile at the expressions on the faces of the Lego people – they look quite agast, a “What have we done?” look! Your daughters have learnt wisdom from you – how lovely that you are all happy together.
