30 days of thankful 2020 – #26

I may be turning into my mother. I actually suspect this has been happening for awhile. But recently, I have found myself doing things she used to do. The most recent; buying amaryllis bulbs to share at Thanksgiving. I am grateful for these flashes of memory. Mom and I had a wonderful relationship, with a few exceptions related to clothing choices in high school. She was my most ardent supporter and I miss her every day.

  1. I know many people have difficult relationships with their mothers, but I am not one of them, and frankly turning into my mother as I get older is something that I kind of hope will happen.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  2. I think it’s wonderful that you had such a great relationship with your mom that you’re enjoying “turning into her”! … and how do those waxed bulbs work? do you plant them in dirt?
