A view from the walking path

I love those blue pots – I wonder if they keep them out all year
Here is an interesting figure – Another one to watch as the rains and snow start to fall
This group of carolers are right across the street from the moss person.
I almost gasped when I saw this spot of bright pink in a nearby garden of mostly brown leaves and sleepy shrubs.

The skies have begun to give us more grey than blue, more rain than sun. Many of the trees have finally shed their leaves although we will have lots of green throughout the winter (Evergreen State after all). I was excited to see some interesting sights and a bit of color on my recent walks. And I have been thinking so much about my own yard and garden. I have some ideas about how to add some spice for the folks who are walking past our yard – a little something to cheer them on. Stay tuned.

  1. The moss figure makes me think of that full-body cabled knit thing (body cozy? suit?) that was all over the internet a few years ago. It will be interesting to see what happens to it over the course of the winter!

  2. I adore Moss Man! That is so cool! And the carolers are awesome. I look forward to seeing what you do in your yard to entertain the neighborhood!

  3. My walks are not nearly as whimsical and fun as yours are. There are a few neighbors who have added holiday decorations, and I was thinking maybe I should add some too, just to make things a little interesting. Now, like the others have said, maybe I should really up my game!

  4. The last rose of summer? This looks like a great place to walk; where is it? I love the days when the “mountains are out,” don’t you?
