Keep walking

My daily walking continues. I need to look back and see how many days I have walked but I think I have only missed one or two days since September. Yes, it has been cold and yes, we have had lots of rain. I spend a lot of time looking out the window and checking with Alexa for just the right time to get out and walk. I bought new walking shoes last April and have a new pair ready to tag in soon.

This week I was fortunate to share a walk with our littles. It was the first time I ventured out with the stroller and a small walking buddy and I was a bit nervous. But it went quite well. There was some walking and a lot of stopping to look at the rocks or the bushes or the endless fascinating things along the way. But the best part was watching the brother love. Taking this lovely walk into a day where we will need a lot of hope and grace.

  1. Good on you! My walks have fallen aside because I hate the cold but I’m still exercising inside every day.

  2. Thanks for sharing. I miss my daily walks – not always possible to leave for an extended period of time…perhaps the warmer weather will change that. How nice to have two little companions for company. Precious memories.
    Cheers~

  3. Good for you. I haven’t been outside for days, it’s cold, grey and raining. I loved taking my children for walks. My first baby had a pram walk every day.

  4. Love that!! I love the way his little hand is on his brother’s stroller.
I’m setting a commitment to walking 40 miles in February, which is usually our worst weather month. I like that check mark on fitbit! I’m a person who love s to check things off so that will be great. Good for you and your consistent walking.

  5. I used to be the kind of person who only went outside in the winter when I had to, but I’ve become a person who looks forward to getting out for my daily walk. I never have such enjoyable company, though! I hope you’ll be able to walk with the two of them for many years to come!

  6. That’s such a lovely photo of the two little ones holding the same object (bear, hat, blanket?) … There’s always such a lot of stopping and backtracking with little ones :). Congratulations on keeping up the walking – I think it’s the only thing keeping me sane.

  7. I love to hear that you’ve made walking a daily habit, no matter the weather! Even better when you have sweet little ones at your side 🙂

  8. I miss walking, but it’s been too darn cold and windy here. Love that picture of your two littles. I bet it was fun to have them with you!

  9. You sure are right, there’ve been lots of wet walks in January! It’s fun walking with the grandkids, isn’t it? Now ours like to either take their bikes or run ahead so it’s hard to keep up with them.
